Communication of Technical Information

Welcome to the class blog of COM 315! This course adderssses the specific challenges involved in communicating complex, technical information to both lay and experienced audiences. Throughout the semester, we will be reading several journal articles relating to how presenters can communicate complex ideas in a clear and understanding way. Students are required to reflect on these articles in the blog, as well as apply the readings to real-world instances.

Speech Idea

I was thinking my speech topic being, "We should recycle." I thought it would be an interesting topic because Indiana is not a state that recycles. What does anyone think about that topic?

Sounds interesting and there would seem to be a lot of usable information.

i like your idea about recycling. It really doenst make sense that indiana, or a lot of states dont. I dont think it could be hard coming up with a technical solution - even if it was based off of a state that already had a recycling plan implemented
